Pupils put their `art’ into helping patients recover

Pupils at Woodhouse Primary School were invited by Huddersfield Royal Infirmary to design pictures and paintings to be displayed on the admissions ward.

Teachers Mrs Rothwell and Mrs Hardwick set up an art club which involved ten children over the space of four weeks putting together their work.

To help the children with their designs, they thought about what patients would like to see when they look out of the window and some of the iconic landmarks of Huddersfield including the network of the waterways.

Sainsburys in Brighouse donated the frames and fittings for the pictures as they were offically unveiled at the hospital this week.

Mrs Rothwell and Mrs Hardwick said they were very proud of the children.
