Raiders tie-up two people in Huddersfield raid

Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery at a farm in the Shelley area on Friday.

At around 8pm when two men broke in and tied the two occupants up before they made off with a large metal safe.

They left in a blue coloured Peugeot.

Two raiders are white and aged in their 20s. One was approximately 6ft tall and of slim build and the second man approximately 5ft 7in tall and of stocky build.

Both were wearing dark clothing and spoke in local accents.

Detective Inspector Andy Leonard of Kirklees CID, said: “We believe this was a targeted attack and was a frightening experience for the occupants.

“The free standing safe itself is 2ft tall and very heavy, requiring two people to carry it and would be difficult to conceal.

“I appeal for anyone who has any information regarding this crime to contact the police.”
