Up to 10,000 people packed in to Calder Holmes Park over the weekend to enjoy the sight of cars, motorcycles and tractors of yesteryear.

The venue in Hebden Bridge played host to Hebden Bridge Rotary Club’s Vintage Weekend and with the weather holding up organiser believe that a record amount has been raised for local charities and good causes.

Club president Brian Boocock said: “I would like to thank the people of Hebden Bridge and the Calder Valley, who always turn out to support us. We have local sponsors and we couldn’t do it without them.

“I would also like to thank the Rotary members for their time because they do it on a voluntary basis. We have also had 17 or 18 of our members’ wives helping out and we certainly couldn’t have managed without them.”
