Pickle joined the Woodham family from Moorview Rescue in Bewerley.

Cathy said: “She’s a very much loved family pet.

“She’s a rescue dog from Moorview Rescue at Bewerley who do a fantastic job saving many many dogs.”

Cathy revealed that Pickle had admirers even before her starring role in our competition.

She explained: “Pickle has quite a fan club with my boyfriend John Bond’s customers.

“He’s a gardener and some of his customers don’t have a dog themselves but buy in dog biscuits especially for when Pickle comes to visit.

“She is often offered a drink before John gets a cup of tea or coffee!”

Our competition was run in association with Kendall’s Farm Butchers.

Kendall’s has developed a range of Dales dog food.

Cathy said: “We were interested in the dog food from the butchers in Pateley Bridge as we try and avoid typical canned dog food with additives.”

The family is looking forward to the photo shoot, as John’s son Greg is currently visiting from Canada.

“It will be a lovely momento of his visit,” said Cathy.
