A Copley business is appealing for information after a wall and fencing at its premises was obliterated.
Workshop staff at Richard Baldwin Motorhomes, Wakefield Road, arrived to the destruction on Tuesday morning.
It’s claimed the damage could have been caused by a large truck trying to do a U-turn outside the premises. It’s also believed a small amount of damage was caused to a dry stone wall at a house opposite.
Gary Morgan, a partner at the firm, said: “The driver never stopped to leave details for Richard Baldwins and I am appealing for witnesses to come forward who may have seen the truck making a turn at that point.
“Wakefield Road is a very busy road and with the truck stuck in the middle of it for what must have been a few minutes, smashing bits out of everything in its way, somebody passing by either by road or on foot must have caught a glimpse of whose truck it was.”
A reward for information that leads to a successful prosecution of the driver has been offered from Richard Baldwin Motorhomes, contact them on 01422 364 222.
Information can also be passed on to police via 101.
