Cycling fans of all ages flocked to The Brooksbank Cycle Circuit for the school’s open day event.
The event, which took place on May 8, the school’s second free-for-all event, was created around the council’s aim to encourage others to be healthier and live longer.
Coun Tim Swift, Calderdale Council’s Leader, said: “We’re working hard to inspire people to live healthy, happy and long lives and making healthier choices. Cycling is just one of the fun ways to do this and we’re encouraging all ages and abilities to get on their bikes in Calderdale.”
Mark Ragan, Director of Community Sport at Brooksbank, said: “It truly was a brilliant day, we’ve had hundreds of visitors and the weather could not have been better.”
The event was co-hosted by Pedalsport bike shop at King Cross.
Brooksbank School expressed huge thanks to Sport England and The National Lottery for their contribution in the new facilities.
