Work to lay a new main water pipe in Ripponden will continue over the Easter weekend to speed up the work.
Engineering specialists Morrison Utility Services have been working on behalf of Yorkshire Water since late January to replace the existing pipe on Oldham Road, as it was in bad condition and prone to bursting.
When this pipe burst, it would cause significant water supply and road disruption.
A total of 900 metres of water pipe has been laid so far - the team started near the junction to Dyson Lane and has worked its way up to the junction with Rochdale Road and Elland Road.
The project is now more complicated and with around 200 metres of water pipe still to lay, the team will work over the weekend.
It is hoped the work will be complete within the next two weeks.
