A MAIN road in Rishworth has now reopened after a crash in the early hours of this morning.
The 28-year-old male driver was injured when his car went off the A672, Oldham Road, and hit a telegraph pole at about 3.30am this morning.
The car then rolled down a bank and came to a rest upside down.
A passing motorist spotted the car’s lights down the bank and called emergency services.
It is understood the driver was trapped in the car upside down for about an hour.
Firefighters from Halifax station managed to reach the car and cut the driver free.
He was taken to hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The road was closed while the car was removed but reopened at 7.35am this morning.
