Robber wearing a ski mask attempts raid on Halifax shop

Shop staff were forced to activate a panic alarm after a robber wearing a ski mask attempted to raid the store.

The incident happened at around 10.20pm at a store on Highroad Well Lane, when a man entered the shop, approached two members of staff and demanded money from the till.

The staff refused to open the till and activated a panic alarm.

The man fled the scene in a dark coloured vehicle which was parked across the road. It’s thought he made off in the direction of Moor End Road.

The suspect is described as a mixed race male, around 6ft 6 to 6ft 7 tall, wearing a ski mask, black coat, black jogging bottoms and black trainers.
