Rotary Club Shoebox Appeal is in full swing

The Rotary Club Christmas Shoebox Appeal is in full swing as more schools and shops are getting involved.

Flat pack boxes are available to fill with items for people in need from Tesco in Brighouse, King Cross and Sowerby Bridge, Sainsbury in Halifax, Harveys (Cook Shop) and Elland Morrisons.

Rotarian Bryan Harkness asks for people to return filled boxes to any of the above stores as soon as they can.

Voluntary Action Calderdale are receiving requests for boxes from a number of charities where a food or toiletry box would make a present for someone in need.

The Rotary Club are hoping to pass target of 1,800 boxes given out last year.
