Residents at a care home were treated to a day of dancing, Strictly style.
Entertainers from dancing company Havana Nights dropped in at Sandholme Fold Care Home in Sandholme Crescent, Hipperholme, to treat residents to a Strictly Come Dancing session.
Salsa and ballroom dancing were demonstrated by the experts and some residents were able to get up and have a go themselves.
Susan Burke, activity co-ordinator, said: “We just wanted to something different, so we decided to organise the dancing session.
“Those who could dance got up and had a little dance, while others who watched were really entertained by the Havana Nights dancers.
“Everyone really enjoyed it and it gave everyone a bit of fun.”
The home will be following up the dancing day with a wartime singing session next week.
Tickled Pink Productions will be visiting the home to meet residents and lead a day of singing.
The home will be decorated and members of the Christ Church in Hipperholme will visit wearing clothes from the period.
Susan added: “It should be a fantastic day for all the residents.”
