The 56th annual Shelf Gala takes place tomorrow and it is not a day to be missed.
There’s something for everyone with a variety of stalls, including the tea tent and beer tent, as well as face painting, fun fair rides and much more.
The procession sets off from Witts car park (formerly Interface) at 12:45pm and parades through the streets of Shelf before reaching Shelf Hall Park at 1:20pm to continue the fun.
This year’s gala queen is Keira Hayes who will open the gala after her coronation.
For the first time there will be a dog competition where owners can show off their pooches in three catagories, best fancy dress, best dog in show and the dog and owner pair that look the most alike.
An afternoon of entertainment is expected with performances from dance group Pennine Magpies, band Selah Sounds, Crusaders marching band and Shotokan Karate.
Organisers of the Gala would ike to thank the sponsors Coral, Blackshaw holdings, Robinson’s farm shop and Interface for their support.
