A PERFORMANCE by children and young people with disabilities was held at Square Chapel Centre for the Arts, Halifax.
The show followed workshops by Equal Voices and Chol Theatre, where participants learned drama, dance, movement, sign language and circus skills.
The sessions were organised by Calderdale Parents and Carers Council in partnership with the arts centre, the theatre companies and Calderdale Council.
Katie Clarke, of Calderdale Parents and Carers Council, said: “They were amazing, the young people, and it was fantastic how the group worked together.
“It has helped to increase their confidence self-esteem and given them new skills and opportunities.”
She praised everyone who had helped out.
“We had a team of young disabled adults as volunteers and they were great role models. We also had a host of drama and performing arts students volunteering.”
