Halifax Ladies RUFC is holding women’s rugby taster session this Sunday, May 14, at Ovenden Park from 11am. As part of the Rugby Football Union’s drive to increase the number of women playing contact rugby, the ‘Meet Your Inner Warrior’ campaign was launched earlier in the month, with camps taking place across the country. One of those was in Halifax and the camps were such a success that they are running again, with the aim of offering taster sessions to everyone, regardless of prior experience.
