Parkrun organises free running events around the globe. 5k routes are set up in parks every Saturday for all abilities.

In order to take part runners need to register themselves on the website. Runners are asked to bring along their personal barcode to each parkrun so it can be scanned before every parkrun. The barcode tracks your time and allows you to keep beating your personal best.
