Readers went to the Courier website in their thousands as the snow began to fall last Friday.
19,500 people visited the site on the first day of the blizzards to get first information about school closures, traffic conditions and weather updates.
And a total of 34,000 used the Courier website over the weekend to stay in touch with events, with many sending us their fantastic photos of fun and chaos in the snow.
It means we are on course for more than two million page views for the month of March. Figures for the first two months of the year are already up on 2012, showing that more people are using the Courier online to stay in touch with breaking news seven days a week.
And the weekly Courier is selling more copies than it did on any day when it was an evening title. The newspaper is more than 20 per cent up year on year. Improvements such as the My Week supplement with its All Woman, puzzles and TV sections have proved very popular.
Combined with the website, the Courier is now reaching a quickly growing audience and is the first point of call for local news, sport and entertainment. Thanks for choosing us and keeping the Courier at the heart of the community.
