Young people in Halifax were rewarded for their positive behaviour towards the community with five-a-side games against a Huddersfield Town team at 3Gi Soccer, Shaw Lodge Mills, Halifax.
The youths are part of an ongoing project to reduce anti-social behaviour at Stansfield Close housing complex for the over 50s.
The project has brought together Himmat Charity, the police and Pennine Housing and it has been nominated for a Social Landlords Crime and Nuisance Group award which celebrate achievements successfully tackling anti-social behaviour.
That has included alternative teaching methods aimed at building better community cohesion and understanding the effects of bad behaviour. Several of the youths have now progressed onto further education and apprenticeships.
