A HALIFAX bar turned back the clock to the days of flower power, kaftans and flares.
Bar Eleven in Harrison Road went retro and grooved to a night of 1970s’ hits and live music.
Guests were raising money for Stop Hate UK and Calderdale Pride.
Organiser Gary Kirkland said: “We’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who supported us in raising an incredible £800 towards good causes.
“The night was a huge success that really exceeded our expectations.
“Its success really is a testament to the charitable spirit of everyone involved, including those who supported us on the night – Bar Eleven, DJ Jamie, and of course the sensational Vegas Elvis.
“He went down a storm with the audience and the atmosphere was absolutely electric.”
Calderdale Pride treasurer Kirk Hopewell said: “Many lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people have experienced hate crime due to their sexual orientation or gender identity and this can cause untold misery.
“Calderdale Pride is committed to challenging stigma and discrimination.
“We’re delighted to be working alongside and co-supporting Stop Hate UK, who do some sterling work with people who have experienced hate crimes,” said Kirk.
