Special display at Jubilee Pub ahead of Remembrance Day

The Jubilee Pub in Halifax town centre has installed a special display to commemorate this year's Remembrance Day.

The memorabilia includes a Black Watch uniform, a Duke of Wellington’s Regiment uniform, a medic’s uniform and a display about the Battle of the Somme

There is also a memorial wall where people can pay 50p to write a message, with all proceeds going to the Royal British Legion.

Landlady Samantha Oldfield said: “I just think people need to remember everyone that fought for us and lost their lives.

“I’ve had a really good response to it. It’s the first year I’ve done a big display like this and I think people have been quite shocked by it.”
