Taking to the skies for charity

A man will reach dizzying heights when he takes part in the UK’s highest skydive for charity.

Satnam Singh, who is the postmaster at the Hebden Bridge Post Office, will fall from 15,000 feet to raise money for the Huddersfield-based Kirkwood Hospice.

The hospice looked after Satnam’s auntie last year, and he wanted to do something to recognise the care she received whilst there.

Satnam, 38, said: “There’s been a great response from all the customers who come in the Post Office.

“I’m a little bit nervous, but it’s for a great cause.”

The skydive, which will take place on October 19 in Hibaldstow, Lincolnshire, will be a tandem jump and will involve a one minute freefall.

Satnam has set himself a fundraising target of £2,000- to support and to donate, visit Satnam’s Just Giving page at www.justgiving.com/satnam-singh1
