It’s not difficult to see why Love Grows has been shortlisted. In their afternoon tea, Mike and Moira offer a huge choice of delicious goodies, including 10 sandwich choices, four choices of speciality bread and eight cake choices, meaning there’s something for all to enjoy.

And the ethos of catering to all lies at the heart of the business. The couple pride themselves on their wide selection of gluten-free cakes and breads, so there’s no excuse for customers not to indulge in a sweet treat or two.

Those following a gluten-free diet can still enjoy a full afternoon tea, modified to their requirements.

Moira said: “We just wanted to provide quality food in a nice building. We would love to win the award, we’d be absolutely delighted and it would be confirmation that we are doing things right, as people tell us we are.

The winners will be crowned at an awards evening held at the Pavilions of Harrogate on October 15.
