A 14-year-old boy was rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car in Queensbury last night.
The teenager was struck by a Ford Ka on West End at the junction with Deanstones Lane at 8.40pm.
The car was travelling from the direction of Halifax towards Queensbury.
The boy’s injuries were described as “very serious”.
He was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary and then transferred to Leeds General Infirmary.
The road was shut until 12.30am today while police investigated.
