Teenagers are being given the chance to learn more about what it takes to work for the police in a 23-week course.
West Yorkshire Police’s Explorer programme has launched in Calderdale giving youngsters aged between 16 and 18 firsthand experience of the police and the wide variety of roles within the force.
Explorers will learn about the special constabulary, police volunteers, protective services crime and operations, crime scene investigation, roads policing and crime prevention, They will support policing teams and get involved with their communities.
