Three people were taken to hospital after a two car smash in Cornholme yesterday (Friday).
Emergency services, including firefighters from Todmorden and Burnley, were called to Burnley Road at around 2.20pm, where a Nissan X-Trail and a Skoda Octavia had collided.
The driver of the X-Trail, a 47-year-old woman thought to have internal bleeding, a broken leg and broken ribs, was rushed to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary by air ambulance.
A 69-year-old male and a 71-year-old female were taken by ambulance to the Royal Blackburn Hospital.
The couple had complained of chest pains, but their injuries are not thought to be serious.
All passengers had managed to escape from their cars and firefighters assisted with first aid until the Yorkshire Ambulance Service reached the scene.
