Investigation launched after woman dies in fatal Halifax house fire

Fire investigators are looking into the cause of a house fire in Halifax where a woman died.

A woman has died following a house fire Stansfield Close, Halifax (Google Street View)

Fire crews were called to Stansfield Close in the Pellon area of Halifax at 8.37pm on Thursday evening

A woman in her 70's received medical treatment by paramedics but was pronounced dead a short time later.

Pensioner seriously injured after being hit by a car in Northowram

West Yorkshire Police Officers were also called to the scene following the incident.

A spokesperson for the force said there are no suspicious circumstances over the death.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service investigators have been working trying to establish the cause of the fire.
