Police are appealing for witnesses after a pensioner was hit by a car in Northowram.

The road traffic collision happened at 4.21pm on Thursday November 22 Bradford Road at the junction of Newlands Grove

The incident involved a red coloured Vauxhall Astra and a female pedestrian.

At the time of the collision the vehicle was being driven in the direction of Bradford, approaching Newlands Grove to the nearside when it and a female pensioner who was crossing the road from Newlands Grove towards Victoria Drive were in collision.

She was left with serious injuries.

Any witnesses to the collision, who saw either the Astra or the injured woman before the collision or who has dash cam footage are asked to call police on 101 quoting log 1089 of Thursday November 22.
