Calderdale crews attend ‘suspicious’ car fires

Calderdale crews attended two car fires which are believed to have been started deliberately.

The first incident, attended by a crew from Rastrick, happened in Fallow Croft, Bradley, at 11pm last night (Sunday).

A fire fighter wearing breathing apparatus put out the fire in the Vauxhall Vectra with a hose reel.

The car was completely destroyed and the cause is under investigation.

The second incident, where a Vauxhall Corsa was completely destroyed, happened in Summergate Street, Halifax, at 4am this morning.

A crew from Halifax attended and used one breathing apparatus and a hose reel to extinguish the fire.

Police were in attendance at that incident and are investigating the cause,

Nobody was injured in either fire.
