A public meeting is being held in Elland this morning (Saturday) to turn up the heat on a campaign to get a rail station.
Halifax and District Rail Action Group (HADRAG) is inviting people along to hear from campaigners and experts, and to join the discussion about why the town should have a train station - and how to make it happen.
The meeting will take place at the Fleece Inn, Jepson Lane, Elland, starting at 10.15am. Doors will open from 9.45am. Everyone is welcome.
Speakers include Councillor Barry Collins who is Calderdale’s spokesman for economy and environment along with Andrew Haley, client and stakeholder manager at train operating company Northern Rail and Michael Sasse from Metro’s rail team.
