Changes to First bus services in Calderdale

The bus company has introduced more journeys during peak travelling times between Todmorden and Burnley.

The 592 will operate eight additional journeys split equally between the early morning and mid-afternoon departures in both directions.

These changes add to extra peak times which began last December and have been made following continued discussions with the community.

Martin Hirst, commercial director of First West Yorkshire, said: “We have listened to our customers and made further improvements to the timetable to serve the varying needs of people travelling at busy times and through the day.”

Other changes that have recently taken place in Calderdale are:

Service 588: Minor changes to departure times to allow better co-ordination between 589 and 590 at peak times of the day.

Service 589: Revised timetables to improve reliability. Minor changes to departure times to allow better co-ordination between 588 and 590 at peak times of the day.

Services 590,592: Some changes to times to improve punctuality and reliability and to ensure better spacing at peak times with the 588/589 between Rochdale and Littlebrorough.
