Driver with 14 points on licence caught speeding at 117mph on M62

A driver who had already clocked up 14 points on his licence was caught speeding on the M62.

West Yorkshire Police's Road Policing Unit caught the speedster on the M62 motorway near to Scammonden.

As checks were carried out police officers made the discovery that the driver already had 14 points on their licence.

Posting on Twitter the unit said: "Vehicle seized after clocked doing 117 mph on the M62, Scammonden. Driver uninsured with 14 points already on his licence.

"Reported for Court where a substantial ban will hopefully be waiting."
