Driver cut free from smashed car by firefighters after Brighouse crash

A driver had to be cut free from his car after a crash in Brighouse.

Emergency services were called to Finkil Street, at the junction of Upper Green Lane in Hove Edge,, at around 8.30pm.

The crash involved a Nissan Qashqai and VW Golf.

One of the drivers, thought to be in his sixties, had to be freed by firefighters and was taken to hospital by ambulance.

Firefighters from Rastrick and Cleckheaton attended and were at the scene for around an hour.
