Driver taken to hospital after crash on Halifax road

A driver has been taken to hospital after a collision on a Halifax road this afternoon.

The incident took place on the A6036 Halifax Road, Northowram shortly before 2.27pm today.

West Yorkshire Police said they had been called to a collision involving a car and a van.

As a result of the collision, the two vehicles had ended up on a nearby driveway, and the driver of one of the vehicles has been taken to hospital as a precaution.

Photos from the scene show an HGV on a driveway next to a badly damaged wall fence.

Police remain in the area at this time.
