Saturday July 19 – 11am to 1pm and 11pm to 1am Sunday July 20.

Sunday July 20 – 5pm to 7pm.

Monday July 21 – 6am to 8am and 5pm to 7pm.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (WYFRS) is awaiting further details of an indefinite period of ‘action short of a strike’, which is planned to start following the final period of actual strike. Details will follow.

Assistant Chief Fire Office Dave Walton said: “This series of strikes sees a change in tactics by the Fire Brigades Union. We will now have to manage short duration, more frequent strikes for an extended period of time. We have worked hard to develop a contingency plan for just this type of scenario, which ensures that we provide the best possible level of emergency cover for West Yorkshire, given the limited resources we will have available.

“This will be a challenge and our message, as ever, is that people should take extra care. By doing this, and by only calling us for genuine emergencies, we will do our very best to ensure the limited number of fire engines are available to those who need them most. We reiterate our plea for the FBU and the Minister will find a way to resolve this long-running dispute.”
