Halifax trains cancelled: Railway line blocked and trains cancelled as 999 crews deal with 'incident' on tracks between Halifax and Sowerby Bridge today

Trains between Leeds and Hebden Bridge have been cancelled or are being diverted this afternoon and emergency services called to the tracks.

Northern says 999 crews are dealing with an “incident” between Halifax and Sowerby Bridge which is blocking both lines.

Train services running between Leeds and Hebden Bridge will be cancelled or delayed.

Disruption is expected until around 2.30pm.

Passengers travelling between Bradford Interchange and Hebden Bridge can change at Brighouse for alternative services.

Buses will soon be operating between Hebden Bridge and Bradford Interchange.

"We apologise for the delay to these services and the additional time this may add to your journey today,” said Northern.
