M62 reopens after woman seen climbing on to bridge

The M62 has reopened between Junction 22 and 24 after a woman was seen climbing on to Scammonden Bridge.

Police officers were called to the scene, near Junction 22, and talked her down.

A Highways Agency spokesperson said that delays are currently around 30 minutes due to the incident near Rishworth Moor and will take some time to clear.

There are massive tailbacks and delays as motorists try and find alternative routes off the motorway.

There is queuing traffic moving very slowly A58 from Halifax through to Hipperholme lights and also along Bradford Road, Brighouse, towards the town centre.
