Man dies after tragic bicycle crash near Pateley Bridge

A 41-year-old man has died after crashing into Dibble’s Bridge and falling into the stream below.

The fatal collision occurred at approximately 8.30am on Sunday, August 2 as the male rode his pedal bike from Pateley Bridge towards Grassington.

The rider then collided with the bridge on the B6265, throwing him over the bridge into the stream below.

The Roads Policing Group is now appealing for witnesses of the collision.
