Man freed following two-vehicle crash in Hebden Bridge

A man had to be freed from his vehicle after a crash in Hebden Bridge last night (Tuesday).

The two-vehicle crash, involving a black Ford Fusion and a black Vauxhall Astra, happened on Keighley Road - near to the former Nutclough Tavern - at 7.58pm.

Fire crews from Todmorden and Halifax attended and freed a man from one of the vehicles on a long board as he was suffering from suspected cervical spine injury.

He was transported to hospital via ambulance.

Some other people were treated for shock

Police closed the road to allow firefighters to carry out their work and it was re-opened at 10.08pm.
