Morning travel and weather update

On the M62 visibility is reduced because of the fog between junction 22, A672 (Rishworth Moor) and junction 23, A640 (Huddersfield).

Temporary traffic lights closing one lane on the A646 Burnley Road at Friendly are causing tailbacks in both directions.

There is also traffic congestion on A58 Halifax Road in both directions in Hipperholme at the A644 Brighouse Road junction, and slow traffic on A58 Wharf Street in both directions in Sowerby Bridge at the A6139 Tuel Lane junction. Heavy traffic is causing delays on the A629 Calderdale Way in both directions in Elland at the A6025 Halifax Road junction.

Traffic on the A58 Aachen Way in Halifax is busy but moving at the Queen’s Road junction, and there is the same situation on the A629 Cow Green in Halifax at the Bull Green junction.

There are no reported problems on the trains and buses.

Weather wise, Calderdale is set for sunny spells in the morning, with heavy rain the afternoon and evening. There will be lows of 7C and highs of 13C.
