Police issue witness appeal after fatal road traffic collisioon in Bingley

At about 1.40am police received a report of a black BMW having left the carriageway in Bradford Road, near to Beckfoot School. The driver of the vehicle, a 34-year-old local man, received fatal injuries.

He was the sole occupant of the vehicle, which was travelling south towards Cottingley at the time of the incident.

The vehicle had been involved in a collision with three parked cars in Bingley town centre a short time before and had failed to stop at the scene.

Anyone who witnessed either incident involving the vehicle is asked to contact the Major Collision Enquiry Team via 101.
