Campaigners fighting for a train station at Elland have been urged to make their voices heard and to keep shouting.
Nearly 40 residents and councillors attended a meeting held at the Fleece Inn to speak with transport experts about how badly the town needs a railway station.
Councillor Barry Collins, Calderdale Council’s spokesman for economy and environment, told them they had to ‘seize the day’ and be ambitious.
A report was done in 2009 but the results were disappointing, claiming that not enough people would use it.
There has also been considerable housing development in the area and major industry development such as Morrisons which could help with a stronger business case.
Councillor Collins said he would be asking for another report to be done to include all the new background details.
