Rastrick crew called out to car fire

Firefighters from Rastrick were called out to a car fire this morning (Thursday).

The Citreon Saxo was alight in Crest Hill Road, Brackenhall, Huddersfield, at 3.34am.

When the single appliance from Rastrick arrived the fire was smouldering so firefighters used a single hose reel to extinguish it.

The dash board and the front seats were destroyed but the rest of the car was mostly undamaged.

The cause of the fire is under investigation

Nobody was injured.

Firefighters left after around 20 minutes.
