Reckless M62 driver has car seized in West Yorkshire as he travelled 100 miles to collect golf clubs

An irresponsible driver who travelled 100 miles to collect a set of golf clubs had his BMW seized in West Yorkshire for illegal vehicle offences.

Police officers in West Yorkshire stopped the white BMW on the M62.

The driver had driven from Staffordshire to West Yorkshire to pick up some golf clubs.

However the driver was found to be breaking a number of offences.

PC Claire Gray, an officer of the road policing unit said: "This driver had drove from Staffordshire to West Yorks to pick up some golf clubs.

"His day went from bad to worse when I found he had two tyres with cord exposed and he wasn’t insured to drive the car. Vehicle seized and a prohibition placed on it."
