Suspected arson in Hipperholme

The Renault Kangoo, which was completely destroyed, was on fire on Victoria Road at about 11pm.

A fire crew from Brighouse attended and used a hose reel and breathing apparatus to extinguish the flames.

A West Yorkshire Fire Service spokesperson said an accelerant was used and the fire was being treated as arson.

The vehicle owner and the police were at the scene when firefighters left around 11.30pm.
