Tailbacks on Luddenden Lane following accident

The accident occurred at 8.55am close to the junction with Burnley Road, in Luddenden Foot.

A red Toyota and black Volkswagen were invovled with one of the drivers, a 19-year-old female, reporting injuries to her neck.

Police said both drivers were treated for minor injuries.

The vehicles are in the process of being recovered but it has made the morning commute difficult.

Metro has confirmed that the 574 bus service is unable to serve Kershaw, Booth and Midgley because of the crash.
