Traffic delays on M62 as two lanes are shut between Brighouse and Ainley Top

The incident has happened on the westbound carriageway between junction 25 at Brighouse and junction 24 at Ainley Top.

Reports are already coming in about heacy congestion in the area

Highways England confirmed that lanes one and two are currently closed whilst the recovery of vehicles involved and carriageway clear up takes place.

A spokesperson for Highways England said: "There are 45 minute residual delays on the approach to the earlier M62 incident spanning 5.5 miles.

"Average speeds on approach to Junction 24 are 10 mph. Delays are reducing and it is anticipated that normal traffic conditions will return shortly."
