Update: One woman in intensive care after Casa balcony collapse - latest updates plus picture gallery
Four women were taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary after the balcony they were standing on collapsed under their feet at noon today (Friday).
They were understood to have been with Casa’s owner Jack McDaid who was flown to Leeds General Infirmary by Yorkshire Air Ambulance with head injuries.

One of the women is in intensive care with internal bleeding.
It is understood she is expected to remain in intensive care for at least a week and was described tonight as being in a serious but stable condition.
The other three women have been treated for broken bones.
One suffered a fractured right arm, another has multiple fractures of the arms and legs and a third sas a fractured femur.

Hide AdPolice, firefighters and paramedics were called to the restaurant just before noon.
The Health and Safety Executive and Calderdale Council are thought to have been informed.
Elland Road was shut between Brookfoot Lane and the layby past the restaurant towards Elland while emergency services dealt with the accident but has since been re-opened.
There were seven or eight ambulances initially called to the restaurant, along with the air ambulance.

Hide AdBrighouse firefighters said they helped paramedics with the casualties.
They cut a fence down so that they could get to the people who were hurt.
People were seen leaving the restaurant crying after the accident.
The restaurant has Tweeted: “After an unfortunate indcident today all persons involved are OK and receiving professional care. We wish all involved a speedy recovery.
