Updated appeal: M62 fatal crash

At just after midday on the eastbound section police received reports of a multi vehicle collision in which a 90-year-old woman received fatal injuries.

The woman, not yet named by police, had been a passenger in a Vauxhall Vivaro van which suddenly went across the road and was then in collision with a Kia Picanto.

The male Picanto driver received minor injuries in the incident as did the male driver of the Vivaro.

Officers are currently investigating the full circumstances of what took place and inquiries remain ongoing.
