Updated: Coach blaze on M62
Motorists have faced continued disruption on the M62 eastbound between Rishworth and Ainley Top following a coach fire this afternoon.
There’s queues caused by congestion following the accident which led to the closure of one lane between junctions J23 and J24.
All lanes have now been re-opened.
Fire crews were called to the incident at lunch time to tackle the fierce blaze which resulted in smoke blowing across the road.
Alternative transport picked up the coach passengers.
Roads were grid-locked around town centres in Calderdale with reports of long delays in Brighouse thought to have built up due to drivers avoiding the motorway.
