Updated: Female cyclist suffers serious leg injury after crash with car in Brighouse
A female cyclist has been taken to hospital with a serious leg injury after a crash with a car in Brighouse this morning (Wednesday).
The woman, who is in her 50s, was in collision with a red Peugeot 206 on Bethel Street at around 7.38am.
She has been taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.
Surrounding roads were closed for over an hour to allow the woman to be treated by ambulance staff and for investigation works to be carried out.
Any witnesses are asked to call the West Yorkshire Road Policing Unit on 101.
