Motorists are facing delays this morning because of congestion.

There is heavy traffic on the M62 eastbound between junction 25, A644 (Brighouse) and junction 27, M621 (Gildersome), with matrix signs set to 40 mph.

There are also queues forming on the A646 Burnley Road at Friendly, with one lane closed and temporary traffic lights in operation.

There is queueing traffic on the A58 Wharf Street in both directions in Sowerby Bridge at the A6139 Tuel Lane junction.

There are queues on the A629 Calderdale Way in both directions in Elland at the A6025 Halifax Road junction.

Traffic on the A629 Huddersfield Road in Halifax is busy but moving northbound between the A646 Dryclough Lane junction and the Ward’s End junction.

There is queueing traffic on the A641 Huddersfield Road outbound in Brighouse at the Bethel Street junction.

On the buses, operator First is reporting delays to service 590 due to temp traffic lights and road works at Friendly.

There are no reported problems on the trains.

Weather wise, Calderdale is set for a mixture of sunny and rainy spells throughout the day, with lows of 5C and highs of 9C.
